Post Ni Kai

Hello, this is my second post. We still have not learned enough grammer or vocabulary to write interesting blogs in Japanese yet, but maybe one day we will know enough!

For now, I will use English.

I went home this weekend to visit my family in New Jersey. On the way back to Columbia, we stopped by a Japanese store called Mitsuwa. When I asked for an extra plate for my lunch, the cashier didn't understand English, so she asked the other cashier what I was asking. When the waitress replied in Japanese, the cashier I was talking to pointed to the plates next to her and said ここ. I was very surprised and happy that I knew what she was saying!

With more studying, maybe I will be able to ask the cashier to hand me a spare plate in Japanese, without the other cashier translating. Eventually ^_^;

You already can!

「それをください」 while pointing at the plates

I don't think I've been to Mitsuwa, how is it?
